You can try hostgator I have many websites on hostgator and they are running smoothly. I didn’t get any downtime for 3 years and it’s only $3.96/month.

Shared hosting plans are more stable and faster than free hosting.

But If you have a high traffic website which has visitors more than 600/day, then you may face lots of website "too many connections" problems with shared hosting.

Then you may use a dedicated server or a VPS server.

It depends on your needs,

Some web hosts have better support, some have better prices, some have more features, databases, etc.

As far as domain registration goes, I do not like to register my domain with the host unless they are a domain registrar such as GoDaddy with a separate domain control panel.

The reason for this is if I am unhappy with my current web host or perhaps they go out of business, I can quickly copy my website and database backup to a new web host, log into my domain account and redirect the DNS to the new host’s nameservers.

Many web hosts provide one free domain name with their hosting plans and my method would forfeit the one free domain. However I have many domains hosted on each web hosting account and the convenience and security of a domain manager separate from my hosting accounts is worth more to me than a $15 per year free domain name.

Most accounts let you host multiple domains, although normally one is set as the primary with email access to that domain.

As it is a small business website which uses minimum resource,you can go with normal shared web hosting plan. The shared web hosting plan price may differ from one provider to another. I personally use bluehost and hostgator and they working fine for me

I would rather register domains at a domain registrar like NameCheap.com or Name.com or Godaddy.com instead of taking the free domains the web hosts offer. As for hosting, You can sign up with any of the top web hosts like Hostgator, Bluehost, Webhostinghub etc. Read the following links for a clear understanding.

It depends. Most hosting companies have shared hosting from like 5 bucks a month that would be fine for just an ordinary website like the one you were saying there. You have to watch out for some hosting companies, they claim either they have free or cheap hosting but they're service is terrible and not worth it. With my clients I normally use DomainDash.CO but there are many out there to choose from.

My server is 15 years old and has run for 5 years with no reboot.
It has 512 ram and a 0.8 cpu.

I use webhostinghub.com to host 5 WordPress blogs. They have unlimited accounts at very competitive rates. Their customer service is responsive and helpful if necessary. A sample blog is posted below.

The cheap hosting is all you need.

You should pay between $3-$8/month for shared hosting. All you need is the cheapest shared linux hosting. I have a number of different websites hosted on shared hosting and they can handle far more data/traffic than you will need.

To give you idea I have shared hosting site that gets 3,000 visits per day and I log every page visit. I have had no performance or storage issues.

Is this $10 / month? Or $10 /year? If it is the former. there should be no issues. With the latter you may suffer performance issues, bad support etc. which may anger your client. This entirely depends on the company you go with. Some reputable companies have offered $10 / year plans for a limited time…

Hosts expect both small business and personal clients to host with them so there should be no issues in that department. If unsure, just ask the host.
